Course Description
Review of key requirements of the ISO 14001: 2015 Standard, Internal Audit methodology, workshops and role-play exercises.
Our instructors are certified, professional, active Auditors who introduce best practice methods of audit technique and method. Instructors will review the clauses of ISO 14001:2015 in detail and introduce best practice approaches to auditing each ISO Clause.
Attendees successfully completing this course receive a Certificate of Achievement that will serve as evidence of Internal Auditor competency.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this training, participants will:
Understand the organizational benefits of a strong internal audit program, and how effective internal audits drive continual improvement of an Organization’s environmental management system.
Understand the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
Understand best practice internal audit methods, and the roles and responsibilities of an internal auditor.
Conduct all phases of an internal audit using a process, risk-based approach.
Understand how to identify Strengths, Opportunities and Nonconformance findings.
Understand how to conduct a verification audit to confirm effective corrective action and closure of nonconformance findings.
Prerequisites
No prior ISO 14001 knowledge or prior Internal Audit experience is necessary.
Course Materials
Participants will receive a hard copy three-ring course binder with class slides, and supplemental training materials and examples, along with an electronic copy of the Power Point training course slides.
Copies of the standards are not included in the class fee. Students must bring their own copy of the ISO 14001 Standard. All other materials will be provided.
